Explore the bay of Telašćica and admire its unique corals. Some are up to 60 cm long! The Telašćica nature park in Dugi Otok is teeming with marine life. You’ll find plenty of seaweed and plants, including large mats of seagrass. Red algae and bryozoans live on the vertical rocks. Take a close look at the yellow and orange corals and gorgonians that grace the seabed. These areas are teeming with small species of fish.
The Blue Grotto: a stunning setting near the island of Vis
Why we chose it: This destination is reminiscent of Capri’s Blue Grotto, one of Italy’s most famous natural sites. Visitors are dazzled by the intense blue sea caused by sunlight entering the cave through an underwater opening that illuminates the water.
